Everyday Is Like Sunday é a terceira faixa do primeiro álbum a solo de Morrissey, Viva Hate, e o segundo single a ser lançado pelo artista. Atingiu a 9ª posição no Top Singles britânico e continua a ser uma das suas mais conhecidas canções. "Everyday Is Like Sunday" aparece também no álbum de compilação Bona Drag.1
Morrissey foi citado como tendo dito que há "algo estranhamente deprimente sobre uma cidade no litoral fora de época (balnear) '.
Várias bandas, como The Pretenders (no Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Boys on the Side), pelos 10,000 Maniacs (em sua Armageddon Candy Everybody Wants PE), o Armageddon Dildos (no seu Maxi-Single "Come"), e Mikel Erentxun em seu álbum Acrobatas, entre outros gravaram versões desta música.
