Aeronwy Thomas in Torino, Itália

IMMAGINE&POESIA (IMAGEM & POESIA) é um movimento artístico e literário internacional fundado no Teatro Alfa, Torino, Itália em 2007, patrocinado por Aeronwy Thomas, a filha de Dylan Thomas.

Os Membros Fundadores foram: Aeronwy Thomas, poeta e escritora; Gianpiero Actis, pintor; Silvana Gatti, pintora; Sandrina Piras, poeta e Lidia Chiarelli, coordenadora e ideóloga do movimento.¹

O poeta americano Lawrence Ferlinghetti tornou-se um membro do Comité Honorário de IMMAGINE&POESIA em 2009.²

O artista português Jaime Braz é o representante do movimento IMMAGINE&POESIA em Portugal.

O Manifesto [editar]

O Manifesto já foi traduzido para 28 línguas. Consiste de 10 pontos.³ O quarto ponto sugere “momentos de polinização cruzada” para artistas e poetas, como apoio para a tese de que um texto literário pode inspirar a criação de uma obra de arte figurative e vice-versa: o resultado é uma forma de arte nova e completa. ⁴

Desde 2007 o Movimento tem organizado leituras de poesia e exposições, em que as imagens e as palavras estão interligadas. Os mais importantes foram:
