Kenneth Charles Branagh (Belfast, 10 de dezembro de 1960) é um ator, diretor e roteirista britânico nascido na Irlanda do Norte. Aos nove anos, mudou-se para a Inglaterra, onde estudou na The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. É um dos mais importantes intérpretes de Shakespeare da atualidade. É conhecido por interpretar Gilderoy Lockhart em Harry Potter e a Câmara Secreta, por dirigir e atuar no filme Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, com Robert de Niro e Helena Bonham Carter e por dirigir o filme Thor, grande sucesso de bilheteria em 2011.

Vida Pessoal [editar]
Já casou com a atriz britânica Emma Thompson de 1989 a 1995 e também com a atriz britânica Helena Bonham Carter de 1994 a 1999, que, coincidentemente, também vieram a fazer parte do elenco de Harry Potter (Sibila Trelawney e Belatriz Lestrange, respectivamente). Caso seu personagem, Gilderoy Lockhart, não tivesse sido cortado da quinta adaptação para o cinema, Harry Potter e a Ordem da Fênix reuniria os três atores. Atualmente, está casado com Lindsay Brunnock.
