Peter Blake

Sir Peter Thomas Blake (Dartford, Kent, 25 de junho de 1932) é um artista pop, mais conhecido por ter sido o autor da capa do álbum Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, dos Beatles. Também desenvolve significativa carreira na pintura, que incorpora imagens da cultura de massa e colagens. De 1946-1951 foi desenhador técnico na Gravesend School of Art. De 1953-1956 estudou no royal College of Art de Londres. De 1956-1957 interessou-se pela arte popular. Viajou bastante na Europa. Em 1964 começou a ensinar na St. Martin's School of Art de Londres. Pintou colagens com cores vibrantes. De 1969-1979 foi membro da Brotherhood of Ruralists. Em 1981 tornou-se membro da Royal Academy de Londres. Após o seu realismo inicial juntou-se a Hamilton tornando-se uma das figuras chave da Pop Art em Inglaterra.
