É um peixe marítimo, de clima temperado e demersal.[6]
Distribuição geográfica[editar | editar código-fonte]
É encontrado desde a Coreia e nas costas centrais do Japão até Hong Kong.[6][8][9][10][11][12][13]

É inofensivo para os humanos.[6]
