Silver tungstate Silver tungstate (Ag2WO4) is a chemical compound with light beige or light brown colors depending on the synthesis type [[1]]. Its crystals present three types of electronic structures, depending on the concentration of reactants starting or precursors, temperature, or pH of the synthesis. Moreover, the synthesis method can influence the type of facets shape or growth of new crystals forms. [[2,],3,4,5].

The three polymorphs for Ag2WO4 crystals are designed as alpha (α) for the orthorhombic structure with space group (Pn2n), beta (β) for the hexagonal structure with space group P63/m, and gamma (γ) for the cubic structure with space group Fd3m. Among the electronic structures mentioned above, heterogeneous photocatalysis using α- or β-Ag2WO4 crystals as a catalyst has shown significant potential for the treatment of polluted water with different organic/textile dyes or aromatic organic compounds, such as methyl blue, Rhodamine B, methyl orange, phenol, reactive orange 86, and reactive brilliant red. Basically, photocatalysis is a physical-chemical process based on the acceleration of a photoreaction in the presence of a semiconductor catalyst [[6]].
