THE EMPEROR OF BRAZIL, 257 at both ends, with three decks, three masts, two funnels, andthree thousand horse-power, which enables her to steam six-teen knots an hour. Her length is three hundred feet,breadth fifty feet, depth thirty feet. She has two .turrets,upon which her armor is eleven inches in thickness. Else-where the thickness is eight inches.
