Since, -however, the bathtub and the lavatory areon opposite sides of the stack, the wasteand revent pipes-must be arranged some-what differently from the installations pre-viously described. You will notice thatboth the bathtub and the lavatory are re-vented, and the revent pipes run into thesoil stack a little above the closet tank.The waste from the bathtub runs into oneside of the closet bend, while the waste fromthe lavatory is screwed into the oppositeside of thecloset bend. Some plumbing ordinances require thewaste from the fixtures to run direct intothe soil stack instead of
