References are to the work that was cited for the addition, that is what citation is all about, not some other page instead which may or may not have exactly the relevant material. Also, if I saw it and acted, then there is the possibility that the link is problematic or I have concerns about conflict of interest editing. I am guessing you are talking about musikguru.com and I would ask that you talk to the respective communities about your bulk link replacement and gain a consensus for your actions, rather than act in a means that some will take as contrary to policy.
