Hi everybody, welcome to my user page. I'm using the nickname "Cross Plains" here on Commons, but you can call me John if you wish. Anyway, I'm just an old retired guy with too much time on his hands, thought I'd join up and see if I could help out in some way. As the handle suggests, my main interest is in magazines and comics from the 30s up to the 60s, also a big fan of the pulps, old tyme radio, classic cartoons and other beloved aspects of American popular culture. Apologies in advance for whatever mistakes I'm bound to make, I'm fairly new to Commons, though I've lurked about on Wikipedia for a long time.
