Proposal to add a heading[editar código-fonte]

I would like to change this template so that, when used on subpages of Wikipédia:Esplanada, it would display a heading. This would make it possible to subscribe to receive notifications about replies in those threads when using the Discussion Tools (Ferramentas de discussão) beta feature.

My proposed version is here: Usuário:Matma Rex/Predefinição:Voltar (see difftry how it displays on different pages)

Pinging recent editors of the template: @Tks4Fish @He7d3r and also @Albertoleoncio (we discussed this idea at Wikipédia:Esplanada/geral/A-B test for new Topic Subscriptions (24mar2022)). I can edit the page myself, but I wanted to ask first if there might be any objections. Matma Rex (discussão) 01h43min de 12 de julho de 2022 (UTC)[responder]

@Matma Rex: Agree, but I think more modifications will be needed than just this one. In that case:
  • It would be necessary to modify {{Discussão2}} in order to remove the actual section title (line 15);
  • The new {{Voltar}}'s section title should be the name of the subpage (and not just "Discussão") and, most important,
  • Figure out a way to make the current section commands (Ver, Editar, Histórico, Vigiar) appear together with the Vigiar secção.

Well, I wanted to propose just one change at a time, but I agree those would be good too.
I'm not sure if it's actually possible to do your ideas #1 and #2, since in the template {{Voltar}} on the subpages, we don't have access to the section title defined in the {{Discussão2|…}} transclusion on the main page. I suppose you could try to pull it from the page title, but that seems difficult, and I thought it wouldn't really matter much.
I tried to make #3 happen, see Usuário:Matma Rex/Predefinição:Discussão2 and Usuário:Matma Rex/Predefinição:Discussão2/styles.css. I changed how the commands are positioned to make them fit better next to the [subscribe]. I think this works, but it's difficult to test, since the [subscribe] links don't appear in preview and in the template sandbox ("Testes de predefinições").
Feel free to edit the pages in my user space if you want. Or I could copy them over to the main templates if they seem good enough to try that? Matma Rex (discussão) 19h47min de 12 de julho de 2022 (UTC)[responder]
@Matma Rex: Citação: "I thought it wouldn't really matter much" Well... it matters a bit. Hihi The fewer differences there are on the frontend, the better. If no one notices any difference, it would be perfect. You can go ahead and implement the changes. Some of these pages are protected, so let me know if you need to be an autoreviewer. ━ ALBERTOLEONCIO Who, me? 12h11min de 13 de julho de 2022 (UTC)[responder]
Thanks for the vote of confidence, I applied the changes (I'm not an autoreviewer, but it looks like I can edit them because I'm a global interface editor [1]). Everything seems to work as expected! Matma Rex (discussão) 18h42min de 13 de julho de 2022 (UTC)[responder]
