SIMTERP

The Software Simulator for Passenger Bus Terminals - SIMTERP

The SIMTERP produces a set of data that serves to aid the performance analyzes regarding the management of intercity and urban road terminals. One of the main advantages is to facilitate the evaluation of the use by pedestrians of the dependencies of terminals, such as toilets, shops or ticket windows. The objective of using data generated by the simulator is provide subsidies for the calculation of performance indexes, and so to allow the manager to know the possible scenarios of cause and effect that their decisions will trigger. The simulator not mean to replace field data, but to provide a sample of several measures for analyzing over time the behavior from performance indexes for each specific situation predefined (scenario). The performance indexes are response variables that the simulation model should provide, as defined by [1] (2008).
