Coty Cream is a Lisbon based, portuguese rock band.

Coty Cream started in 1988 as a high school band. All members at the time (Pedro Alçada- electric guitar, José Nave- drums, Nuno Espinho Silva- electric guitar, João Bernardo- bass guitar, Vitor Hugo- keyboards and Sara de lá Féria- vocals), were friends who liked playing music together.

They´ve played several concerts together, and the first line up change came when Vítor Hugo left and was replaced by Torré on saxophone. At this time Coty Cream became more off a concert driven band, but this was also the period of the first recordings and releases. K7 demo tape (out of production) In 1994, they were invited to record a track for the compilation “Estudio - Gare”. In 1995, another invitation to record a track for Portuguese national radio, Antena 3 for a record called “Antena 3 100%”

In 1996, Coty Cream released they´re first solo record, a CD called “Música Comercial” after signing on Portuguese Lisbon based independent label Farol Música Lda. Praised by musicians and critics, “Música Comercial” was mentioned in several media as one of the best records of the year! After several concerts, the band started changing line ups, once more. After this release, a new record as made by the name “To Ka”, which was never released.

In 2006 the band reunited and released a new record called “O Rock da Mouraria” on Lisbon based label Mouraria Records. At this point Coty Cream were guitarist and vocalist alçada, 1996 bassist Vasco d´Albergaria and saxofone player Tórré, together with drummers Miguel Cabral and afterwards Al Kali. After this release, the band was invited by IndieLisboa film festival to remake the sound track for Charlie Chaplin’s film “The Kid”.

By the end of this project the 2006/07 line up was thru and a new line up was gathered for new projects. By this time Coty Cream´s line up is drummer Al Kali, Pedro alçada on guitar and vocals, Vasco D´Albergaria as bassist and Tórré on Saxophone tenor and alto (sometimes baritone).
