Cookies, also known as "Biscuits" in some regions, are small, baked pastries that are widely regarded as a dessert option or "quick snack" . Cookies are often made with a combination of basic ingredients such as flour, sugar, butter, and eggs, cookies are considered by many as an very common and easy-to-do treat.

According to ressaches, the first cookies where made in Persia (modern-day Iran) in the 7th century. They were originally small cakes baked to test the oven temperature before the main cake was baked. The concept of cookies spread to Europe and eventually to the United States, where they became a popular treat.[1]

Cookie varieties are abundant. Common types include chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cookies, and sugar cookies, the majority of them keeping the same basic ingredients of a of common cookies(flour, sugar, butter, and eggs) but additioning extra ingredients depending of the recipe.
