Charles Hartshorne

Charles Hartshorne (5 de junho de 1897 – 9 de outubro de 2000) foi um proeminente filósofo americano envolvido nos estudos relacionados com a religião e a metafísica. Com a metafísica neoclássica, desenvolvida por ele, produziu uma alternativa para a metafísica tradicional. Foi um dos notáveis que produziu prova para existência de Deus, onde partia sua argumentação desenvolvendo o Argumento Ontológico, de Anselmo. Apresentou uma série de críticas à forma tradicional de pensar sobre Deus. Também é conhecido por suas contribuições para a filosofia do processo de Alfred North Whitehead, de onde desenvolveu a Teologia do Processo. Além de conhecido nos trabalhos sobre metafísica e religião, produziu muitos trabalhos meritórios em ornitologia.
