Areia Branca Beach is a beach located in the parish and county of Lourinhã in Portugal. Located near the border between the districts of Lisbon and Leiria, lies 72 kms north of Lisbon and 15 kms south of Peniche. From the beach one can see the Berlengas islands.

Tourism[editar | editar código-fonte]

There are bars near the beach, on the marginal wall, even on top of the sand. However there are not many esplanades. Next to the campsite passes a river that flows into near frequented places in summer, where once the swimmers refreshed.

One of the great attractions of Areia Branca Beach is the surfing. The surf schools, which also provide accommodation for those who want to have a more streamlined experience, are managed by some of the surfers that makes up the first generation of practitioners of the sport in Portugal.

Other available offers are hostels and Surf Houses.

Blue Flag[editar | editar código-fonte]

In recognition of its quality, Areia Branca Beach was awarded with the Blue Flag in 2010.
