Júlio Pereira Cardozo Junior, Brazilian from Rio de Janeiro, graduated BS in electronics engineering by ITA | Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica whose career includes several Brazilian banks such as Bozano, Simonsen between 1994 and 1999, and Banco Cooperativo Sicredi, between 2009 and 2023. Julio has been a portfolio manager of assets hovering around R$ 12 billion (US$ 3,21 billion) in investment products including stocks, derivatives and fixed income, including credit. Recently he has been acting as a CRO (Chief Risk Officer) responsible for the management of market risk, financial risk, operational risk, cyber, liquidity, credit and privacy risks.


Julio's career started in 1994 as a manager at Banco Bozano, Simonsen. From 2000-2001, Júlio Cardozo acted as an associate with Value Partners consulting. Right after was a treasurer for Banco BVA during 6 years. From 2007 to 2008 worked at Vitória Asset Management. In June 1999 started his career at Sicredi, as a managing director, position he held until July 2023.

Júlio Pereira Cardozo is an electronics engineer graduated at the prestigious Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (1994). Between 1998 and 2000 was a student in a Master in Business Administration (MBA) program at Michigan University – Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Became a Chartered Financial Analist in 200 and got a – ‘Certificate in Investment Performance Management’CIPM. In 2010 became a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, by Caia Association. Recently, Júlio Cardozo took part in the advanced risk management program by RMA, Risk Managers Association, and the Aresty Institute of Executive Education, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (2018). In 2020 got a FDP-Financial Data Professional designation and currently is a PhD candidate at EDHEC business school in London.
