Adding links and references to the new Portuguese translation of the Idries Shah Wikipedia page

About the project

A new Portuguese translation has been made of the English text of the Idries Shah Wikipedia page. The text needs to to have wiki links and references added to it. Here is the raw translated text for the new Idries Shah Portuguese page. Here is the working copy of the draft of the new Idries Shah Portuguese translation.

How the work is being done

The raw text of the translation closely follows the English version of the Idries Shah page. Wherever a reference needs to be placed in the text there is a number surrounded by square brackets, for example '[30]'. My approach to adding the references has been to open three browser tabs on my computer:

• the 'edit' page of the English version of the Idries Shah page
• the working draft of the new Idries Shah Portuguese translation
• the raw translated text for the new Idries Shah Portuguese page

I then copy and paste a paragraph of the raw text into the edit window of the working draft, find that paragraph on the 'edit' page of the English version, and copy and paste the references into the appropriate places in the paragraph. At the same time, wiki links can be added to the text. This will often require adding a pipe ('|') symbol to the link so that the link text is in Portuguese, for example '[[Afghanistan|Afeganistão]]'.

How to help

• Adding links and references. I think the best approach is to add one paragraph at a time from the raw text to the working draft and then add all the links and references for that paragraph.
• Proof reading the working draft.
