Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers é uma banda de heartland rock formada em 1976, em Gainesville, Flórida. A banda foi formada por Tom Petty (guitarra e vocal), Mike Campbell (guitarra solo), Benmont Tench (piano, órgão, harmônica e vocal), Ron Blair (baixo e vocal) e Stan Lynch (bateria e vocal).
