Carlos Romano (Luanda, 7 de Fevereiro de 1985) is an Artist who has been developing Artworks in various artistic currents, such as Painting, Sculpture, Music, Dance, Philosophy, Poetry and Writing.

In dance, he develops an Afro-contemporary style, which he draws from the musicality and folklore of East Africa,Mali and Angola, which he merges with modern and urban dance from North America.

In Painting and Sculpture, he registers a very figurative and singular style, in which he intrinsically seeks to portray feelings and emotions from the human sub conscience.

In Music, the Artist developed a style where he crosses classical music from Europe, using instruments practiced in classical music such as the violin and the choir, with ethnic music and African folklore, where he uses essentially African percussion instruments.

The Artist has works obtained by various private collectors, national and international, including some highly regarded international museums.

Carlos Romano was born in Luanda, Angola in 1985, son Maria Vitoria Cassinda from Angola, and Antonio Romano, Portuguese with Italian descent. Antonio Romano was a boxer for Sporting Clube de Portugal and Portuguese national champion of Boxe. He moved to Angola where he founded the sport there, leading the country to the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow. In 1989, the little Carlos and his family moved to Europe, settling in Elvas, located in the Alentejoregional area of ​​Portugal, bordering Spain. There he lives a considerable period of his childhood, where the flamenco and gypsy culture very strong in Elvas and the medieval environment of the city left quite strong influences on the Artist, records that we can see later in his work. Years later, his family and the teenager Carlos move to Lisbon, the capital of the country, where the hip-pop culture is very strong in the city and the poetic richness of this cultural movement leaves great influences on the artist as well.

Carlos Romano accepted in collaboration with Art Basel participated in 2017 at the international art fair Artbasel in Switzerland, and in March 2018 at the international Art Armory Show in New York.

On April 7th 2018 Carlos Romano open a vernissage and show "Embrya" in the ADAO gallery, Lisbon, Portugal, with a terrific sucess, Embrya was seen for 2500 people, and the Artshow was prolonged for more weeks with the supporting of media and Tv on that country. In April of 2019 the first Art exhibition of Carlos Romano come out titled “Afrophilia - Anthologies of a Semba”, where Romano showed some of their spoil, an Art exhibition that Carlos Romano showed your paintings, your poetry, your dance ( Romano created a choreography’s making a fusion with contemporary dance and ethnic dances) and your music symphony’s ( where Romano make a fusion with classic music and ethnic African music, with a small orchestra) even the catering service was a fusion and the show finished with a fashion show and musician concerts friends of the Artist, the exhibition was very acclaimed for the critics and once again with a great reception for the people. In the same year Carlos Romano was a Artist selected for the government of Portugal to painting the wall and top the new metro station of Lisbon.

Carlos Romano was the artist selected from the Metropolitan of Lisbon to painting the wall of the underground station "Intendente" at Lisbon, belong the festival Next Stop.

In May of 2019 the Artist also has his first international solo exhibition in Stockholm, Sweden.
