Meu nome é Asaf e eu trabalho para a Fundação Wikimedia. Gostaria de pedir a ajuda de vocês para responder esta Entrevista da Capacidade da Comunidade, na wiki, quando puderem. A página possui contextualização e instruções, então deixo essa mensagem breve.

My name is Asaf, and I work for the Wikimedia Foundation. I'd like to ask for your help in answering this Community Capacity Interview, on-wiki, taking your time. The page has all the background and instructions, so I'm keeping this message brief.

Let me explicitly call out, though, that learning from the shortcomings of the ambitious plans of the past, I am interested in building things from the ground up this time, and strictly in partnership with the community: we will only go as far as the community wants us to, and welcomes our help.

Tenho estado a traduzir para português a entrevista que nos foi enviada pela WMF e a maior parte do trabalho já está feita - falta apenas a última secção.

Compreendo que o inquérito é exaustivo. No entanto, relembro os potenciais interessados em responder à missiva do Asaf (WMF) que não é necessário abordar todas as questões. Cada editor pode responder a uma única questão, se assim entender. Algumas das questões podem ser do particular interesse de editores que contribuem/zelam por áreas específicas dentro do projecto (incluindo actividades off-wiki). Hey, Asaf (WMF)! I've been reading the interview page. This community is sometimes not interested in certain topics, but I think that maybe this is not the case here. The structure of that page might be the reason. It is exaustive to read and understand the topics. I am confident that an easier structure of reading and posting separatedly would have more attention. That is one of the problems that Flow may help to solve.
Maybe if we use tools like SurveyMonkey we could get more answers. Not sure if there is a way to make answers public from there.

Different way?

Thanks for the feedback, Teles, He7d3r, and Dianakc; I appreciate it!

In fact, we have been conducting this interview over video calls with all other communities, and that would have been our preference with PTWP too, but all the previous context I have, including our conversations during my visit last year, led me to believe there is a strong preference in this community for public, written communication with WMF (and in general).

So, let's try differently -- would either of these two alternatives be acceptable?

Option 1

coordinate a group of respondents interested in answering our questions over a video call -- the group can be as large as you like, within practical limits (probably no more than 10 people are practical on a video call)

or

Option 2

we re-post (in Portuguese) a small set of key questions on-wiki, let some community members offer answers, and then possibly follow up with another small set of questions, or ask follow-up questions.

We are happy to do this in the way the community prefers. Please help me understand what that is.

I think that the form should really be a form, and not wiki-text. Actually the form is ugly and hard to read. Google Docs form, something like echo, the identation blue-and-white blocks, would be better.--Mister Sanderson (discussão) 00h22min de 28 de abril de 2015 (UTC)
