Clarissa already had powers, because it was born like a witch, but, after diverse experiments with her, it came to dominate the power of the fire. Her mind had been controlled and she wanted to destroy the Avengers. In "The Avengers" before the New York attack, she can be seen almost killing Iron Man, but does not do so when she sees the monsters in the sky.

In Iron Man 3, Clary appears as friend of Tony Stark. She said that she was regret of everything she had done, and now, she wants to help the avengers. At the end of the movie, Tony decided to take care of Clarissa and trained her to be a heroin, as she wants.

With desire to discovery more about her past, Clarissa decides travel to the Galaxy (she is able to do that because of her powers) to find her father Ego (because of this search, the character can be view in the post-credits scene of Guardians of the Galaxy), in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 she appears as a main character on the side of Nebula to find Ego and her older brother Peter Quill. When she know her brother they feel a connection, this connection make them able to kill Ego.

Back to Earth, after being friend of her brother, Clarissa help the avengers to defeat Ultron, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. After that, she becomes friend of Wanda.

Still on Earth, after the Sokovia Accord, Clarissa fight with Tony against the Captain America's team. After this fight, just like Tony, Clary don't back to talk with Steve because of Bucky. After the Civil War events, Tony send Clary to spy Peter Parker and decide if the boy can be one superhero. But, in the middle of her disguise (as Kendra Fields), Clary get in love with Peter and they both date.

In Avengers: Infinity War, Clarissa still dating Peter and they fight together against the children of Thanos. She (and Peter) go with Tony to the Galaxy to defeat Thanos. Clary and Stephen Strange are considering defeat Thanos with magic. Clarissa reconnect her brother and the Guardians (except for Gamora), but, later she saw they dying by Thanos. She turn doesn't turn to ashes and stay alive with Tony and Nebula.
