É um peixe de clima subtropical e demersal.[4]
Distribuição geográfica[editar | editar código-fonte]
É encontrado no Oceano Pacífico ocidental: desde Queensland até à costa central de Nova Gales do Sul (Austrália).[4][6]

É inofensivo para os humanos.[4]
