George Olshevsky é um escritor, matemático e paleontólogo americano que ajudou a formular muitas teorias e livros sobre dinossauros, tendo proposto os termos Stygivenator e Dinotyrannus como nomes não oficiais para os tiranossauros, sendo que ambas as propostas foram recusadas pela comunidade científica.

Grande colecionador de histórias em quadrinhos na juventude até o final de 1980, criou o Official Marvel Index e publicou extensamente (listas geralmente anotadas) dedicados a ela. Este trabalho lhe rendeu um prêmio Inkpot em 1980.
