Sexo, Pecado e Blasfêmia (Sex, Sin, and Blasphemy: A Guide to America's Censorship Wars) é um livro de não-ficção escrito pela advogada e libertária civil Marjorie Heins sobre liberdade de expressão e censura de obras de arte no início dos anos 1990 pelo governo dos EUA. O livro foi publicado em 1993 pela editora americana The New Press. Heins fornece uma visão geral da história da censura, incluindo as leis Comstock de 1873 e, em seguida, avança para estudos de caso mais atuais de tentativas de supressão da liberdade de expressão.

Marjorie Heins é procuradora com foco em liberdades civis .[1] Ela recebeu seu diploma de Bacharel em Artes pela Universidade de Cornell em 1967.[1] Heins se formou na Harvard Law School com uma distinção magna cum laude, recebendo seu diploma de juris doctor (doutorado profissional) em 1978.[1] Na época da publicação do livro em 1993, Heins atuou como diretora fundadora e advogada-chefe do Projeto de Censura Artística (Arts Censorship Project).[2] O projeto foi formado como uma divisão da União Americana pelas Liberdades Civis em 1991 durante o conflito social nos Estados Unidos sobre tentativas de diminuir o financiamento para o Fundo Nacional Para as Artes e para censurar os músicos 2 Live Crew.[2][3] Em 2000, Heins tornou-se a diretora fundadora do Projeto de Política de Expressão Livre na Coalizão Nacional Contra a Censura.[4]
