É um peixe marítimo, de clima temperado e demersal.[4]
Distribuição geográfica[editar | editar código-fonte]
É encontrado no Oceano Atlântico oriental: Madeira[6] e nas Ilhas Canárias.[4][7][8][9]

É inofensivo para os humanos.[4]
