Luke James Steele (Perth, 13 de dezembro de 1979) é um cantor e compositor australiano. Steele é o vocalista e compositor principal da banda de rock alternativo The Sleepy Jackson, e é também membro da dupla de música eletrônica Empire of the Sun.

Família

Steele é um membro de uma família musical. Seu pai, Rick é músico de harmônica e guitarrista, sua irmã Katy, é vocalista da banda de indie rock de Perth, Little Birdy, e seu irmão Jake, se juntou ao The Sleepy Jackson em 2008 para executar samples no computador e tocar teclado para a extinta banda de Perth, Injured Ninja. Seu outro irmão, Jesse, era membro original do The Sleepy Jackson.

Em 2006, Steele ficou noivo de uma editora de revista, Jodi (também conhecida como "Snappy Dolphin"), que também se juntou ao The Sleepy Jackson para uma turnê nacional da banda em 2008.
