Christopher Poland foi guitarrista do Megadeth. Original e exótico, Poland se inspirava muito em Jazz Fusion para criar seus solos. Pouco se sabe sobre ele antes do Megadeth, porém ele e Gar Samuelson tinham uma banda de Jazz fusion e já tocavam juntos a muitos anos. Poland, ao entrar no Megadeth, gravou dois disco, o primeiro e ótimo álbum de estréia Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good! e o clássico e pesado Peace Sells... But Who's Buying. Em 1987, Poland e Samuelson foram expulsos da banda, depois de serem acusados de vender os equipamentos da banda para comprar heroína após uma apresentação da banda no Havaí.
Dave Mustaine, nas apresentações do Megadeth, costumava dedicar a canção Liar ("mentiroso") à Chris Poland do álbum So far, So good... So What!
