David Michael Hasselhoff, também conhecido como The Hoff (Baltimore, 17 de julho de 1952) é um ator, cantor, produtor e empresário estadunidense.
Interpretou Mitch Bucchannon na série SOS Malibu e Mickael Knight na série A Super Máquina.

Aos sete anos, começou a ter lições de dança e de interpretação. Aos 18 anos, conseguiu arranjar um pequeno papel numa peça da Broadway e em breve chegou a director de coreografia. Impressionou as audiências femininas com um papel de médico na telenovela The Young and the Restless (1975-1982). As suas primeiras incursões cinematográficas foram discretas e em filmes que foram fracassos comerciais: Revenge of the Cheerleaders (1976) e Starcrash (1979).
Foi com o seu papel de combatente do crime Michael Knight, em Knight Rider (A Super Máquina, 1982), que Hasselhoff se tornou uma estrela mundial. Em 1988, conheceu Jack White, produtor discográfico alemão que o convenceu a gravar um álbum: Looking for Freedom, que vendeu centenas de milhares de cópias por toda a Europa.
De regresso aos Estados Unidos, foi convidado a protagonizar a série Baywatch (SOS Malibu, 1989-2000), que permaneceu em exibição durante onze temporadas. A partir daí, continuou a ser presença constante em séries televisivas e telefilmes, enquanto travava uma batalha paralela contra o alcoolismo, tendo sido internado em clínicas de desintoxicação em 2006, 2009 e 2010.
Em 2006 fez uma participação especial no filme animado Bob Esponja - O Filme e o filme Click.
Em 2008 estrelou o telefilme Anaconda 3.
De 2006 a 2009 foi jurado do programa de televisão americano America's Got Talent.
