Josh Freese (Orlando, 25 de dezembro de 1972) é um baterista estadunidense com passagens por diversas bandas, muitas delas gravou apenas álbuns de estúdio, portanto nunca chegou a ser considerado um membro oficial delas. Josh é muito requisitado como baterista substituto ou de estúdio, com mais de 2500 gravações.

Nascido na Flórida, mas sempre viveu na Califórnia, foi influenciado pelo pai maestro da banda da Disneylândia e mãe pianista, começou a tocar bateria aos sete anos de idade. Aos doze já tocava profissionalmente na Disneylândia, e aos quinze já fazia turnês, com Dweezil Zappa (filho de Frank Zappa). Mais tarde começou a tocar na banda The Vandals. Atualmente é membro oficial das bandas The Vandals, Devo e A Perfect Circle, mas também está sempre participando de turnês e gravações de estúdio como membro adicional em outras bandas ou cantores solos.

Carreira solo

Em 1997, Josh gravou um extended play chamado Destroy The Earth As Soon As Possible, com composições próprias no qual ele cantou e tocou todos os instrumentos. Foi relançado em 2000 como o álbum The Notorious One Man Orgy.

Atualmente

Atualmente ele é membro de turnê da banda de Rock Alternativo Paramore, no lugar do ex-baterista da banda Zac Farro, e irá acompanhar a banda que fará turnê pela América do sul. Também atua no Sublime with Rome, substituindo o antigo baterista, Bud Gaugh, que saiu da banda pelo fato de estar sendo, novamente, pai.
