A Premier League é uma liga profissional de futebol da Inglaterra. A liga está no topo da pirâmide do futebol Inglês, e é competição primária de futebol do país. Disputada por 20 clubes no sistema de pontos corridos, ao final de cada temporada os três piores colocados são relegados para a Football League, dando espaço para os três melhores colocados desta competição. Os quatro melhores colocados participam da Liga dos Campeões da UEFA. A Premier League é uma corporação no qual os 20 clubes participantes agem como acionistas. Cada temporada acontece do mês de agosto a maio, tendo 38 rodadas, com 10 partidas cada, totalizando 380 partidas em toda a temporada. O Barclays Bank é o patrocinador, portanto a liga é chamada oficialmente de Barclays Premier League. A maioria dos jogos são disputados durante o período da tarde nos sábados e domingos, e algumas vezes durante a noite, no meio da semana.

Um total de 44 clubes já estiveram na Premier League. O atual campeão é o Manchester United, que venceu seu décimo nono título na Premier League na temporada Premier League 2010-11, mais do que qualquer equipa da competição. O maior artilheiro da história da Premier League é o lendário atacante Alan Shearer com 260 gols, atuando com as cores do Southampton, Blackburn Rovers e Newcastle United.
