Willem Dafoe Jr. (Appleton, 22 de julho de 1955) é um ator estadunidense.

Considerado um dos mais talentosos de sua geração, marcou o cinema fazendo um dos atores principais em Platoon e vilões - como o de Speed 2: Cruise Control (br: Velocidade Máxima 2) e Spider-Man (Homem-Aranha). Também atuou em comédias, como The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (br: A Vida Marinha com Steve Zissou), além de emprestar sua voz a um personagem de Finding Nemo (Procurando Nemo).

Biografia

Dafoe nasceu em Appleton, Wisconsin, o sexto dos oito filhos do dr. William Alfred Dafoe, um cirurgião, e Muriel Isabel (nascida Sprissler), uma enfermeira de Boston. Seu nome de nascimento era William Dafoe, mas ele o mudou legalmente para Willem Dafoe. Estudou artes dramáticas na Universidade de Wisconsin–Milwaukee, porém a abandonou antes de se formar para integrar o grupo de teatro de vanguarda Theatre X, recém-formado.

É casado desde de 2005 com a atriz e diretora italiana Giada Colagrande.
